Hello and welcome to a new
school year! I am so excited to have you in AP Biology this year...I can't wait to read what you have to share for your blog postings! Hopefully the responses on this site will lead to some
lively debates on current issues in Biology and a deeper understanding of some of the
concepts we will cover this year. Please help me begin this segment of the
class by posting a response to this message, telling me: 1. One cool thing you
did this summer, 2. Where your interests in Biology lie, and 3. Why you have

3. I signed up for Biology because I find it way more interesting then chemistry.
1: My ex-professional water skier mom finally taught me how to water ski at Lake of the Ozarks.

3:I chose Biology because I wish to pursue a medical career and believe this class will help me succeed in that career.
1: I went to California for vacation and just got back on Saturday.
ReplyDelete2: Like the others before me i also like the concept of evolution. If ( religion aside) we as humans really did evolve from primates... that's awesome!
3: I also chose Biology because I would like to go into the medical field. And that this course will give me a glimpse on what colleges expect me to do.
1: I went to the Ozarks with my best friend to visit my boyfriend at his lake house! We tubed,jet skied,and boated!We got to fly on a private plane..which is pretty legit!

3:I want to learn more about viruses, and just in Biology in general(:
1. I spent two weeks falling in love with archery.
ReplyDelete2. I love how bodily functions go down just because your body knows they're supposed to, and anatomy if that counts in a biology class.
3. I think I want to go into bio-medical engineering so this is kind of a testing ground to see if that's something I'll really want to continue with.
1.) I went horse back riding in the mountains of Colorado.

3.) I've wanted to go into some science field but Chemistry class last year lost my interest so I decided to pursue another option. Also my mom was a Biology major.
1: I spent a week in June on a farm herding cattle and building fences?
ReplyDelete2: My interests in Biology lie at the cellular level and specifically multicellular interaction.
3: I took this class because it is AP and I feel as though Biology related knowledge is applicable on a wide variety of issues.
1. I played some music at a conference in Hastings and it was fun!

3. I took AP bio because I wanted to learn more about how cool our bodies are and how perfectly all of our organs work together so we are able to do some pretty cool stuff. AND because Mrs. Myers ROCKS!
1. My brother mixed ammonia and bleach in the camper toilet at midnight. I got to evacuate all the kids (and there was alot) out of the camper and into the car while they cleaned up. There was smoke coming out of the camper.
ReplyDelete2. I like the viruses. i think its interesting to learn that we may not be the top of the food chain. But i also like genetics and mutations as well.
3.I loved anatomy and physiology. Science is not my strong side though so..... i took the class to try and fix that.
1. I tried Brazilian food for the first time in my life!
ReplyDelete2. In general I think it is fascinating to use knowledge acquired from a cellular and microbiological level to understand why things occur on a larger organismal level.
3. I have always loved biology and I plan to major in it in college. It is an exciting field to study and it is always changing as research brings us farther into the unknown!

3. I did well in freshman biology so I thought AP would be fun. I also didn't want to take AP Physics or AP chem soooooooo, biology it was.
